Actalent's Pramad Nallari to Speak at nasscom's Design & Engineering Summit 2023 in Bengaluru
Discussion to focus on the autonomous and generative AI workforce revolution
BENGALURU (Oct. 5, 2023) – Actalent, a leading engineering and sciences services and talent solutions company, today announced that Global Practice Director of Systems and Software Pramad Nallari will speak at the upcoming nasscom Design & Engineering Summit 2023. The event will take place at the Sheraton Grand Bengaluru Whitefield on October 12 – 13, 2023.
Nallari's session, titled “Preparing for the Autonomous & GenAI Workforce Revolution,” will cover the evolving workforce dynamics with the rise of autonomous systems, focusing on the changing nature of work, future skill demands, and strategies for successful human-machine collaboration. The discussion will also explore the ethical considerations and challenges that come with integrating autonomous systems and AI into the workforce.
In its 15th year, the summit will bring together leaders from global STEM organizations with operations in India. Composed of over 3,000 member companies, nasscom is the premier trade body and chamber of commerce of India's technology industry.
Actalent's participation in nasscom's summit comes as India's design and engineering sector is poised to reach $100 billion in exports by 2030. Despite recent market conditions leading to a slowdown in other geographies, pure-play engineering service providers in India have seen revenue grow by between 25 - 35% in 2022-23, according to nasscom.
The theme of this year's summit, "Designing a Sustainable, Autonomous Future," centers around the flywheel effect created by future-ready hardware and intelligent connected solutions, serving as a catalyst for innovation, a platform for dialogue and a springboard for transformative ideas. Key conversations will cover the impact of technologies like AI, cloud computing and 5G/6G on engineering efficiencies, along with software-enabled manufacturing and more.
"This is an incredible opportunity to connect and collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the design and engineering sector—and I'm truly thrilled to share a platform alongside such a talented group of executives," said Nallari. "India's role as a global hub for sustainable and transformative innovation will only grow over the coming years, especially as GenAI and Industry 5.0 come to the fore. By participating in events like these, tech leaders in India will learn how to leverage these rapidly evolving technologies, and craft groundbreaking solutions to client challenges."
Ahead of the event, nasscom published a blog authored by Actalent's Global Practice Director, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Michael Kurtz titled "Partnering with a Service Organization? Consider These Rules of Thumb."
In addition to Nallari, speakers at this year's summit include executives from multinationals like Jaguar Land Rover, Johnson Controls, Tata Chemicals, Cummins, Nokia, Boeing, Dell Technologies and more.
