Beyond the Boardroom: Systems and Software practice lead Pramad Nallari hosted a photography workshop for colleagues

As part of our Actalent Explores colleague experience program — which encourages employees to explore new skills or hobbies — this month's session was especially inspiring. Our leader Pramad, a passionate photographer, led an interactive session sharing his expertise and enthusiasm for capturing the world through a lens.

The session not only showcased Pramad's dedication to his art but encouraged employees to pursue their own passions alongside their careers, fostering a culture that values both personal and professional growth. Pramad covered the basics of photography, engaged with colleagues about their interests and took the time to answer questions.

Three Questions for Pramad...

Q: When did you start your photography journey, how did you get into it, and why is it important to you?

A: I began my journey in photography early in my career when I landed my first job at the Eastman Kodak Company. This was before the era of digital prints and the company had a small lab where I could experiment with film and processing. During this time, I saved up to purchase my first Canon SLR camera which allowed me to explore my passion further during vacations and travels. Since then, I have been captivated by the art of photography.

For me, photography serves as a much-needed creative outlet beyond my day job. While we often strive to incorporate creativity and artistry into our professional lives, the opportunities to do so can sometimes be limited. Photography, especially on weekends and while traveling, gives me the freedom to express myself and create something entirely on my own. That sense of creative expression brings me immense joy and fulfillment.

Q: How do you drive innovation and excellence in systems and software while encouraging your team to explore personal passions and maintain work-life balance?
