Evangeline Kumar

Evangeline Kumar is a Material Specialist within Actalent's services for Mechanical Product Design. Evangeline holds a bachelor's degree in Polymer Science and Technology from India's reputed Madras Institute of Technology (MIT), with focus on both natural and synthetic polymers, polymer synthesis, characterization, and manufacturing techniques. With collaboration of Madras Institute of Technology Evangeline supported India’s Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) in development of Deep Sea Encapsulant for Transducers using polymers. She has 8+ years of experience in Material Assessment and Material Selection for New Product Development and Regulatory Compliance. Evangeline applies her expertise in polymer chemistry, product stewardship and sustainability, and different region-specific regulations (EU/UK, US, Canada, China) to help clients uphold the responsibility of reducing the environmental impacts of their products. Her current focus is helping clients identify, report, and eventually eliminate PFAS from their products and processes.
